Available in 5/8" and 3/4" widths.

Traffic leads are suitable for medium to large dogs, and they're great for busy city streets, hiking in the woods and so much more. These can be used on their own or accompanied with a leash clipped into the O-ring on the traffic handle to add some length. 

Length

Standard length for traffic leads is 8-10 inches (excluding the trigger snap), but you want the lead long enough where they have a little bit of slack when you have them in a heel position. If you have a shorter dog, we recommend adding a few inches to the lead. 

Walking in the City

Traffic leads are great for walking on busy streets, because you want them close enough to you where they're not going to be getting in other people's way or darting out into traffic. Using a traffic lead on a narrow city sidewalk would give you the perfect control over your dog to ensure their safety. 

Hiking

If you like to take your dog hiking off leash (in designated off leash areas), a traffic lead can be great in those situations where you need to keep your dog close - to keep them aside to let someone pass, wildlife, etc. 

Off-Leash

Traffic leads are great for places like an off-leash dog park! You can let your pup run, but also feel secure knowing you have something to grab onto if need be.
